Week 8

This week I reviewed my work so far and talked to my lecturer about my FMP. He told me to firstly grey box my area in Unity or Unreal and to also try to understand my character more and create a character and story surrounding them.  So This week I managed to Model, Unwrap and texture: Modular shelves Card machine Sink to Model and Unwrap: Coffee table to Model: Coffee machine I haven't managed to texture the walls. I also reworked my plant pots to be less sharp and more smooth.  User journey: create a journey for your character. define more about the character. What they look like and how they operate. Bullet point it all. How does the character buy a drink, use a toilet, how do they eat/drink. Feet for eating/feeding Top half/ above head is leaves. Mouth is used to talk and to transfer pollen. Advanced enough to enjoy leisure. Look at how native Indians use feathers and take that with petals. Soil and water will be the main sellers in the café. What is the use for the ...

Week 7

This week I completed all the tasks I set myself to do: Register texture, Wall modelling and unwrap, General risk assessment texture, sink, model and unwrap, Mug and Cup model, unwrap and texture, Moving forward: I am going to go over my mug texture and add in some details that I may have missed initially. I was also able to start my concept piece to display the main entrance to the café, so that I can show more of what I would like it to look and feel like. Walls:  In order to create modular walls, I had to measure them all first and make sure they're divisible by the same amount so that I can use the same section over and over.  I found my walls were varied dimensions, in width. 5.0 m 9.0 m 11.5 m 12.5 m 15.0m So figuring this out was a bit annoying, because they can't all be divided by the exact same amount. I worked out that to create modular walls I will have to create 3 variations. A 5 meter, a 3 meter and a 1.5 meter in widths. 5.0m = 5.0m  9.0m = 3x 3.0m 11.5 = ...

Week 6

After last week's PowerPoint, I began to draw out my concept art for the interior of my café.  I completed these things this week: Cash register model and unwrap. Chair and kettle texture. Newspaper, magazine, magazine rack all modelled and textured. Things I didn't complete: Wall models. Cash register texture. To be completely honest, I spent this week focusing on another part of my assignments, which has eaten into my time without me realising it. So I didn't get as much done as I originally wanted to. However, I am still working on these pieces and will be trying to produce as much as I can for next week. Below is my progress:

Week 5

This week I had to work on a presentation for my tutors. Below is a quick video of my pwp. After this presentation I received some really good constructive feedback, which is shown below. Plan into what it looks like: Concept layout - Done 3d Full On Block out, including all the little things. Planning with an end goal. (Plan what the café will fully look like.) Clarify the art style Can't just say STYLISED Tips jar paper looks much higher resolution than the rest of the jar! Get more examples of the low polygonal style (disregarding realism) A lot of post processing on low poly. untextured/ diffuse. DON'T MISS STUFF OUT FROM PRESENTATION LIKE THE MAP AND BLOCKOUT Following on from my presentation, I am going to continue on making the models that I planned to create. However, I'm also going to look into a more specific art style and plan out the layout of the café in more detail. This week: I managed to unwrap my kettle, model my chair and unwrap it, texture my sofa. compl...
